Key Takeaway

This week took a slightly different form to our usual lecture followed by tutorial framework that we are used to in this module. This week was concentrated solely on one-to-one tutorials on all aspects of our second project. This seemed like a good time to have a sit down and chat about how the project was going after the two weeks of the Easter break had allowed for quite a bit of progress to be made.

I was still changing between two different layouts, although I did favour one over the other, and by discussing this with my lecturer, I am now confident to follow my preferred design and complete the project with that design. I also got some more constructive design feedback that I can now incorporate into my design to make the best “A Week in the Life” dashboard I can.

Now I had my dashboard design finalised in terms of layout and structure, I now needed to create all the data visualisations from the data I had collected. I had analysed the data and worked out five categories for each specific piece of data to fall under: Health, Travel, Locations/Places, Entertainment and Miscellaneous.
