As part of this semester’s project was to develop our brief for the project we needed to develop a proposal. It was set that we would share these proposals during class in Week 3 to get some feedback and suggestions on the proposal and the next steps.
After doing some research into proposals and what they needed to contain I was able to take the template we had been given and start filling it out. I don’t have a name for my project at this stage as I haven’t thought about the brand I have been concentrating on working out the design problem I am going to solve and researching my users.
To complete my proposal, I had to provide context for my design, a project summary, and the outcomes as well as set some key milestones for the project and set dates when I would have achieved these.
As design proposals are concise we had been set word limits for each section and these were quite tight, so I needed to be very clear in what I was saying. I always find limited word counts a struggle but I was pleased to fill out each section within the limits.
I have now completed my first draft, it is still possible that my project may change direction, my proposal may require updating, and I will need to develop a name for my project. For now, I am happy that this is the current proposal of what I intend to design.

I was a little concerned when I found out we would need to create our brief for this project, however by taking the time to complete research into a wide range of healthcare-related areas I feel as if I have found a direction for my project that I am excited about and that I look forward to designing.
