The brief we received for this project was to create a user interface/user experience that people would use to interact with an autonomous vehicle (a car). To start this task it was important to consider what problems people might be facing that would require them to want to use an autonomous vehicle. A good way to do this was to come up with problem statements that clearly defined the problem different groups may have for which an autonomous vehicle might provide an answer. This will make it easier to define a target audience for my design and be able to move on with the design process.
I came up with five problem statements, for five different groups all of whom could benefit from access to an autonomous vehicle to achieve their goals.

As you can see these problem statements cover a wide range of different people with different needs.
I will need through my research and discovery either to narrow down my target audience to a specific group, or to decide to make my design appropriate for all these groups. This would involve creating a design that all could use easily and provided for a wide range of needs.
Another method we looked at was the 5Ws method we looked at this method as a class and tried to come up with a range of ideas together.
